Next year will mark Clonter’s 50th Anniversary, and we want to make sure it is the best year yet, but in order to make it to 50 we need your help. Any funding raised will help us be able to celebrate Clonter’s 50th Anniversary and continue to provide a nurturing and supportive place for emerging talent to flourish and entertain our audiences for generations to come.

The Magic Flute

“I think this is the best thing I have attended at Clonter. A pocket production that packed a powerful punch. The music making was of a very high standard and the direction was extremely effective, balancing the piece’s seriousness, and humour most successfully, supported by imaginative designs and effects. The bespoke translation was a joy, with some delightfully cheeky touches.”
.
“Utterly wonderful to be transported into the world of Mozart by such excellent young singers and great orchestra.”
.
“Wonderful performance, absolutely first rate. Enjoyed very much especially by my daughter who is new to opera.”
.
“Complete admiration for all the cast members. A wonderful performance. An excellent production for a first time viewing of opera! Thank you!”
.
“The performance exceeded expectations. We will certainly visit again.”
.
“Brilliant performance. High energy level. Wonderful young talent. Appreciative audience. Was sheer pleasure to be there.”

‘Read all about it’. Lots of lovely audience feedback and arts critic review, which we hope all speak for themselves but if you have already been, do consider coming again. Do you have a season ticket that effectively means you come to one event for free? And if you haven’t we urge you to attend possibly the most inventive show ever staged at Clonter – discuss – A new up-to-date translation, already proving a bit of a hit with both the younger as well as the older audience, projections both still and animated, with multiple sound effects. Also in Clonter’s quest to reach 50, if every remaining ticket was sold, an extra £10k could be raised for Clonter’s ‘Let Us Be 50’ appeal.
Above all Clonter is eager to share its first ever own production of the Magic Flute with as many people as possible.
