London Adventist Chorale
14 choir members and their leader, Ken Burton, managed to make it up to Cheshire on Saturday night for their annual visit. They were one soprano down, but one of the gentlemen stepped into the breach to do one of the solos (Thank you Denzle), to rapturous applause.
Ken Burton, very movingly shared both the fact that this was the first performance to a live audience since March 2020, but also that a number of the members of the choir had lost loved ones during this period, making this a very special concert indeed.
Steven Benson, who was in the lighting box on this occasion, was invited to take a bow, for his ‘herculean’ efforts in having masterminded and carried out the filming and editing of the choir last Christmas, to ensure that the northern contingent of the London Adventist Chorale’s fan club got their annual fix.
The DVD that had been produced from this recording proved very popular, but there are some still left, so if you missed coming to this show, and/or know someone who you think would like it, do take a peep here.
