Would a Tea With… Christmas Special make a good Christmas present, or is this something you might enjoy for a Christmas outing with friends?

If you are caring for a loved one at home, and would like to bring them to a relaxed performance, this will be on Tuesday 7th December.

This increasingly popular Clonter event consists of afternoon tea with an hour of musical entertainment. The tea itself includes smoked salmon, cream cheese and cucumber, and egg mayonnaise sandwiches, with the crusts cut off, followed by a tiered cake stand presented to your table with an assortment of goodies, which include a freshly baked scone with whipped cream and strawberry jam (the Devon way), orange and walnut flapjack, chocolate cake, and a very juicy strawberry. Accompanied by an all important cup of tea or fresh coffee, served in rosebud china and ceramic teapots. This takes place in the intimacy of the swagged red organza Ramsey Room at Clonter, cabaret style.

When We Sing Together – A Christmas Gathering

And for the musical entertainment – Pete Morton, Chris Parkinson, and Emily Sanders are getting together again this December to celebrate Christmas with a big sing of choruses and carols!

The Magical Christmas Tree has gone into retirement (somewhere in Chris Parkinson’s attic, we believe) but the musicians and singers will be back on the road to celebrate the festive season with songs that bring us all together. A  joyous reunion in songs old and new!

Trialing New Format

For this Christmas tea we have decided to try out a slightly different format – Concert before the tea, with a slightly earlier start.

Covid Safety Measures

Whilst the government have lifted all restrictions, further to our Customer Confidence Survey, and feedback from our Summer Opera Production, we have decided to maintain the policy adopted for the last 3 performances of the opera in the summer, which was that masks be worn at all times when moving around the foyer and other common parts, maintaining a 2 metre distance, where possible, and hand sanitising on entry, but once seated for a show masks may be removed.

Refund Policy

We would also like to reassure you that with the continuing, and fluctuating, pandemic situation, should you need to cancel due to Covid, a full refund will be offered.
