We would like to take this opportunity to share with you our intentions to still have an event at Clonter on Sunday 6th September, when we were due to have our annual Clonter Fair. Whilst we don’t think we will be able to make it quite the same as usual, we still wish to provide a family day out.
Our aim is to have as many activities for children as possible, so the usual Splat the Rat, Dong the Bell, Coconut Shy, but we are also exploring the possibility of introducing a socially distance egg and spoon race, and sack race, and any other activities that young ones would NORMALLY have at an end of year school event. The adults can also join in. No reason why the children should have all the fun.
Talking of eggs, organising this is a bit chicken and egg-ish i.e. Depending on how many stall holders we get – we have some, but people are waiting to see – will depend on what sort of an event it is, and all of you.
All Government Guidelines will be followed to the letter, and possibly beyond.
And we fully intend to still have the dog show, and we will DEFINITELY have some entertainment. More info to follow.
One thing we can guarantee is that The Congleton Bear Town Classic Car Club are all up for coming.
If you would like to have a stall, a car boot, volunteer, or have any suggestions to help us give our local community the best day out possible during COVID–19, please let us know – events@clonter.org

Until next week, take care!
