VIC BROWN

“Prior to Covid, Irshad Querish and his family had a thriving tourist business producing quality stone carved objects for sale. With the collapse of the tourist trade, Irshad continues to try and seek work to support his family, but is struggling. I personally have met Irshad when I last visited India and have been supporting his family for nearly 3 years, so that he can keep a roof over his head. He does some work in the local market where he is paid with surplus food for his family. There is little chance of the return of the tourist trade for at least a couple of years.

The objects are all hand made in the town of Fatepur Sikri (west of Agra and the world famous Taj Mahal) and made to a high standard. All revenune achieved from sales will be returned to Irshad to help support his family.”
